Edinburgh Business School partners with GROWDynamics

Dozens of students from Hong Kong will visit Heriot-Watt University’s Edinburgh campus and Panmure House for the “Future Global Leaders” students’ summit this summer.

The project for aspiring business leaders from Hong Kong and Pearl River Delta was developed by GROWDynamics, an educational business venture run by MBA graduate Jannie Tam, in partnership with Edinburgh Business School and London Gifted&Talented, and is supported by Scottish International Development.

Students on the programme will study Adam Smith’s life, work and ideas at his final and only remaining home, Panmure House. The programme will also encourage participants to explore critical thinking and take part in the Duke of Edinburgh Awards Leadership training.
Jannie Tam, Founder and Director of GROWDynamics, said:

“Six members of my family graduated from Heriot-Watt University and I’m very proud to be able to partner with Edinburgh Business School to deliver “Future Global Leaders” students’ summit in Scotland’s capital city and the unique setting of Panmure House.
“The 16-day summit is supported by a 9-hour pre-summit programme through face-to-face and online live discussions to fully prepare the student delegates. The experience in Edinburgh will give our students fantastic exposure through intellectual, social and cultural activities.”
Edinburgh Business School’s Executive Dean, Professor Heather McGregor, said: “I am delighted to commend

GROWDynamics for its unique programme in building human, cultural and social capital which are pivotal attributes of leadership.
“In anticipation of the Fourth industrial revolution, we need to look beyond cognitive talent to emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills. I am encouraged that this is the core of GROWDynamics as I believe it represents the future of learning.
“I am also very pleased that GROWDynamics are partnering with us on the Adam Smith Panmure House project for their senior students and bringing talent enlightenment to a new level.”
